At Faulkner and Mayne, we partner with farmers to implement sustainable practices that enhance agricultural productivity and the natural environment. Our expertise ensures farmers face the future with confidence.
Faulkner and Mayne Sustainable Agriculture Ltd was formed in September 2024, bringing together two experienced environmental professionals, both with a strong track record working with farmers to deliver environmental improvements. They are committed to building a consultancy offer with strong ethical values, supporting farming communities in the Severn catchment and further afield.
Our consultancy services guide farmers through enhancing their practices for better environmental outcomes. Our specialism is SFI applications, providing expert advice on managing land sustainably, ensuring productivity while preserving natural resources.
We provide strategies for protecting the water environment, maintaining effective drainage and efficient water use. The team has extensive experience in land drainage management, watercourse maintenance and agricultural abstraction. Recent projects have included farmer led water quality testing, lowland peat conservation and natural flood management.
We've worked with farmers and scientific partners to develop and trial practical, science-based approaches to reduce ammonia emissions, benefiting both the environment and agricultural productivity.
We provide facilitation services to the Clee View Farmer Group and North Shropshire Farmers Group. Collaborative projects include landscape scale water testing, farm based citizen science, a focus on nutrient management and landscape enhancement.
